FORMEUSE À L'OREILLER (Marie-Thérèse Walter) is a limited edition lithograph re-created after an original painting from the estate Collection of Marina Picasso, Picasso's grand-daughter. Printed using hand drawn lithographic plates (not a photo reproduction or digital print) on archival heavy weight Coventry printmaking paper, 100% acid free. Edition was produced in accordance with the Picasso family under the supervision of Marcel Salinas, master chromist who worked closely with Pablo Picasso during his lifetime.
Bears the estate approved printed signature of Picasso on lower margin. Lithograph is in excellent condition, never been framed or mounted. FORMEUSE À L'OREILLER (Marie-Thérèse Walter) is a relaxing abstract nude portrait portraying a resting woman( Marie-Thérèse Walter, the French model and lover of Pablo Picasso from 1927 to about 1935 and the mother of their daughter Maya Widmaier-Picasso) on a bed; her body an abstract flowing form surrounded by a cushy pillow, her facial expression serene. FORMEUSE À L'OREILLER (Marie-Therese Walter) captivates the viewer with its appealing color combination of bright warm red, green, light gray, pale gray blue, brown, touches of yellow, white and black.
