About the Item
Walter Lees was a bowler for Surrey and England.
Tayler was an English artist who was a member of the Royal Academy of Painters. He was a cricketer himself, and in 1905 he made a series of drawings in coloured crayons of famous cricket players. The prints were lithographed by Spottiswoode & Co, London, and Gilbert Whitehead, London, "the best lithographic firms in England". Accompanied by original description.
