About the Item
Introducing 'Ocean Waves', my one-of-a-kind organic wall sculpture crafted from plaster and featuring abstract modern design with light blue and beige tones. Part of my 'organic sculpture' series, this piece reflects my deep interest in architecture, urban environments, and the interplay between structure and chaos. To create this sculpture, I let the curves and counter curves guide me, without any preconceived ideas, resulting in a unique organic form that draws inspiration from the architectural world. I incorporated curves, geometry, and urban symbols to the sculpture, creating a dynamic and multi-layered aesthetic. In particular, the works of Zaha Hadid and Frank Gehry were a significant influence in the creation of this piece. The use of ocean tones combined with nude shades makes 'Ocean Waves' a captivating and thought-provoking piece of abstract modern art.
My sculpting process begins with a mesh, and I let the curves and counter curves guide me as I layer materials to give the work strength and body before polishing and painting. I'm passionate about using materials like plaster to innovate and create organic waves that evoke emotions.
