Frank Connet
W / 015

About

"W / 015" is a stunning, intricately laced copper wire sculpture. Unbelievably textural and inspiring a tactile interaction, this sculpture by Frank Connet is incredibly versatile -- it can be suspended, hooked to a wall or simply stand on itself in one's space. This piece is currently on lease during June 8-30; it will be available for shipment week of July 3, 2017. Frank Connet is an American artist based in Chicago, best known for using the process of the dye-resist technique of mokume shibori, hand stitched resist pattern on fabric. Connet’s work is inspired by natural phenomenon and urban surroundings. His roots in traditional dye-techniques and textile study deeply influence his sculptural work.
