Blue Flying Waves Abstract, Modern, plexiglass, set of Wall Painting Sculptures 2021. These small sized sculptures are part of the Waves series. They are painted with acrylic paint, spray paint and pastels. They are sculpted by hand using heat as a method to make the plexiglass moldable. This include a set of four Wall sculptures Mixed media on Plexiglass, hand sculptured. Blue/turquoise are the predominant colors but also a vibrant palette with yellow, orange and red are adding light to the sculptures. Once this process is finished, there are many layers of material to give body and strengthen the work. Then comes the polishing and finally the painting. It takes me a long process to finish the sculpture. My work combines aspects of architecture, the urban environment, bright graffiti colors, and a duality of structure with chaos. The series is deeply associative, attuned to our own sense of place and personal history through an aesthetic of transience, intimacy, and sentiment.
