Seedling is a small size contemporary modern sculpture by UK artist Mari-Ruth Oda. Made from Portland Stone Jesmonite, a fine art composite material based on acrylic resin, fiberglass and stone, the wonderful smooth surface of this object complements the natural organic flow of the sculpted shape embedded in it. Smith is most notable for creating “Urban Geode,” a street art series of sculptures that resemble geodes, made entirely of paper and resin casts.
