Six circles are concentrically layered and reflected in luminous amber yellow light. These circular portholes engage and transfix the senses through providing the impression of infinite recessive depth. This work requires an electrical outlet. Emig is a multi-disciplinary artist whose work explores the intersections of visual art, the human body, space, motion, sound, light and technology. He received diplomas in Acoustics Engineering and Electronic Engineering from George Brown College in Toronto before working for Bell-Northern Research, The National Research Council of Canada, Ryerson University and Research in Motion. Emig has won multiple grants from the Ontario Arts Council, the Canada Council and the City of Ottawa for his visual art, performance and dance works. Emig's artworks frequently integrate wall mounted, floor and suspended sculpture, installation, as well as performance in natural or constructed environments. Utilizing mirrored reflections and glowing amber light, Acute Triangle features an infinitely receding ovular ring nested in and infinitely receding isosceles triangle.
