Carol Bishop
Shindler House

About

Carol Bishop’s Architecture Reliefs capture the “bones and moves” of major Modernist structures. Schindler House, the significant studio by R. Shindler, shows the building’s movement as a poetic dance and reveals its Élan vital. The saturated color palette revisits both the strength of structure and its primary character. By extension into space, the form suggests the ability for inanimate objects to come to life. Carol Bishop, a Los Angeles resident artwork explores places and structures around the world to document how human affect and remember locations. Her work has been shown internationally. She is the first living American woman to have a solo show in the Carousel de Louvre in Paris.
