About the Item
"Ballerina gold/blue" is a unique bronze scultpure (2023) of Bulgarian mid career artist Günay Aliev. In this sculpture the artist depicts a nude ballerina standing on her tows with legs together. The bronze figure stands on a beautiful bronze pedestal. Unique work. Certificate. 28 x 8 x 8 cm.
In his artworks the sculptor Günay Aliev uses a very elaborate method, hundreds of years old, which is called "Cire perdue" technique. This traditional method is often also called "lost wax casting process" in which the artist carves a design out of wax, then creates a mold that casts this model and polishes the casting to produce a "master pattern" in which the molton metal (in this case bronze) can be poured and therefater cooled. What we here see is a beautiful and aestehtic work of great expression.
The artist Günay Aliev was born 1974 in Bulgaria. He studied at University from 1994-199 sculpture with Professor Marov at the Art School in V. Tanovo, Bulgaria. From 2002-2006 he continued his artistic studies in Photography and Media at the Fachhochschule in Bielefeld, Germany. Since 1998 he is a professional artist working primarily in Germany and Europe. He exhibits nationally and internationally with selected galleries and fairs.
