About the Item
This wall piece was created by New York artist, Bethany Krull using found drift would and found snail shells. The glistening snail forms are hand sculpted directly onto the wood using a durable and archival epoxy clay and then surfaced with multiple layers of paint before the final finish of wet slimey texture is meticulously applied to the surface dot by dot. The beautiful artificial grass is placed in a way which makes it appear to be growing out of the fissure in the weather wood found by the artist shore-side. The piece can be displayed on the table and also has a hanging mechanism for the wall.
