S. K. Sahajahan - Untitled - 54 x 72 inches, 2018 Mixed Media on Canvas Sahajahan’s work explores his physical surroundings through figurative contexts. Utilizing texture and and the emotive faces of his subjects, “Untitled” presents entwined figures that are both illustrative of heterosexual relationships and are seemingly responsive to current events. Despite a heavy sociopolitical climate, Sahajahan produces affable and calm characters, their discoordinate expressions thereby acting as reprieve from the stress or trauma of the habitual.
