Perspective in Orange
Located in Grosse Pointe Park, MI
"Perspective in Orange" is a profound exploration of life's journey and the dynamic nature of perspective. Crafted from steel, then painted, this Constructivist style maquette (model) offers a visually striking representation of the transformative power of shifting viewpoints.
The geometric lines that define the sculpture play a central role in conveying its message. As viewers encircle the work, they experience a fascinating interplay of disappearing and reappearing lines, shapes and forms. This clever use of perspective mirrors...

Large 1970's Israeli Abstract Sculpture Steel Menashe Kadishman Tel Aviv Uprise
Located in Surfside, FL
Hitromemut (Uprise)
Beautiful large sculpture by renowned Israeli sculptor Menashe Kadishman. Super quality, and visually stunning. There is a large monumental version of this in front of the Habima Theater, Israel's National Theatre in the heart of Tel Aviv.
this is from the small edition of 10.
The elements of this work, are balanced on top, in opposition to its construction.
Menashe Kadishman was born in Tel-Aviv in 1932. He is a Graduate of St. Martin's School of Art, University of London. From 1947 to 1950, Kadishman studied with the Israeli sculptor Moshe Sternschuss at the Avni Institute of Art and Design in Tel Aviv, and in 1954 with the Israeli sculptor Rudi Lehmann in Jerusalem. In 1959, he moved to London, where he remained until 1972. He had his first one-man show there in 1965 at the Grosvenor Gallery. His sculptures of the 1960s were Minimalist in style and so designed as to appear to defy gravity. This was achieved either through careful balance and construction, as in Suspense (1966), or by using glass and metal so that the metal appeared unsupported, as in Segments (1968). In 1995, he began painting portraits of sheep. These instantly-recognizable sheep portraits...

"4 White and Gray Boxes" illusion sculpture 2021 see through metal effect
By Sanseviero
Located in Southampton, NY
We are excited to have this just completed 2021 metal illusion sculpture with an amazing see-through effect.
Sanseviero's metal sculptures fool the eye. His "illusion sculptures" are only 1/16th of an inch thick and yet they appear to be 3 dimensional boxes with open centers that are stacked on top of each other. He has now added to this just completed sculpture a remarkable effect that gives the work a transparent see-through appearance in some areas even though the sculpture is all metal. He has figured out a way to use linear edges on certain parts of the sculpture to create this special look. I have included different views of the sculpture so that you can see this effect.
He first designs how the formation of "Boxes" will layout and then hand cuts the shape he has just designed. He then welds the flat sculpture he has created to the metal base. He then paints his sculpture with a trompe l'oeil or Fool the Eye effect so that the flat sculpture has volume and depth, he then paints the reverse side in the same manner so that the sculpture can be displayed facing either direction or in front of a mirror. This Sculpture "4 White and Gray Boxes...

Located in Southampton, NY
We are pleased to offer a large Aluminum and enamel illusion sculpture by Sanseviero. This sculpture can be placed indoors or outdoors.
Sanseviero's sculptures fool the eye. This large scale "illusion sculptures" is only 1/4" of an inch thick and yet it appears to be 3 dimensional boxes with volume and open centers that are stacked on top of each other. I have included a side view so that you can see how thin this illusion sculpture is.
