The design, painted on gold leaf with matte pigments, depicts the Church of Maria Santissima del Carmelo in Palermo, along with iconic Sicilian flora and fauna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another custom piece is the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.1stdibs.com\/buy\/banquette-seating-for-sale\/\">banquette<\/a>, modeled on one the designer saw in a Parisian brasserie. The display is composed mostly of family photos, although there is one <a href=\"https:\/\/www.1stdibs.com\/creators\/pablo-picasso\/art\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Picasso<\/a>. He achieved that balance in part by mounting the living room television on an extendable arm and concealing it behind a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.1stdibs.com\/furniture\/more-furniture-collectibles\/textiles\/curtains-valances\/\">curtain<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Most of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.1stdibs.com\/furniture\/\">furniture<\/a> is vintage, such as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.1stdibs.com\/creators\/frits-henningsen\/furniture\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Frits Henningsen<\/a> coffee table.
