Bullard had the ceiling painted in the 16th-century Umbrian manner by students from the Uffizi Gallery. A 17th-century Tuscan fireplace, an early 18th-century Flemish tapestry and Louis XV chairs covered in embroidered leather and antique tapestry fragments complete “the illusion of a generational family residence and inherited possessions,” Bullard says.
