The Camaleonda sofa<\/a> is a darling of the design world \u2014 and for good reason. With its sumptuous tufted cushions, seductive low profile and endless rearrangement possibilities, the Mario Bellini<\/a>\u2013designed modular seat can double as sculpture in any interior.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Milanese architect and designer came up with the concept in 1970 for B&B Italia<\/a> (then known as C&B Italia<\/a>), and the piece became a hit after its star turn in the 1972 exhibition \u201cItaly: The New Domestic Landscape\u201d<\/a> at New York\u2019s Museum of Modern Art. B&B brought the design back in 2020 with a few modern upgrades \u2014 namely, all recycled materials and interchangeable seat covers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whether they\u2019re lucky enough to score a vintage piece or are all about the design’s latest iteration, a host of celebrities, designers and dealers are fans of the Camaleonda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chrissy Teigen\u2019s neutral-hued Camaleonda has appeared on the model turned cookbook author’s Instagram account<\/a> on many occasions, and each time, commenters have inundated her with the same burning question: “Where’s that sofa from?”<\/p>\n\n\n
