While 39 percent of the industry experts who participated in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.1stdibs.com\/blogs\/the-study\/interior-design-trends-2023\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">1stDibs\u2019 2023 Designer Trends Survey<\/a> said that white would remain the go-to color this year, 26 percent felt sage was destined to be the top hue, and 24 percent predicted that emerald would be the most desired. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With 56 percent of survey respondents expecting to take on kitchen renovations and upgrades in 2023, you have to believe we\u2019ll be seeing a lot more green in the near future. At the same time, he aimed for a look that fit with the home\u2019s Tudor style. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Using Farrow &amp; Ball\u2019s Lichen green to set the serene tone, he installed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.1stdibs.com\/creators\/waterworks\/\">Waterworks<\/a> fixtures in another neutral, gold, for a little shine. The result is a contemporary look that still feels true to the period and style of the home. Designed as part of a great room for a couple with three children, the space is the perfect color to match the young energy in the house. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nozawa kept the clean, fresh feeling going by employing Carrara marble for the backsplash and counters and stainless steel for the sink and fixtures. The earthy olive green of the millwork beautifully complements the knotty wood floors and exposed brick. Meanwhile, caf\u00e9 curtains by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.1stdibs.com\/dealers\/schumacher\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Schumacher<\/a> give the room an airy feeling. For a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.1stdibs.com\/project\/long-island-escape-oyster-bay-ny\/6453\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">house in Locust Valley, New York<\/a>, the answer was \u201cto change the character with paint, wallpaper, hardware, fabric and lighting only,\u201d says <a href=\"https:\/\/www.1stdibs.com\/design-firms\/kemble-interiors-inc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Celerie Kemble<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She started by using a subtle and sophisticated pastel green on the cabinets, cleverly dotting them with \u201cspearmint-colored milk-glass bin pulls.\u201d To provide contrast, Kemble used cantaloupe-colored seersucker fabric inside the glass cabinets and a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.1stdibs.com\/creators\/lee-jofa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Lee Jofa<\/a> wallpaper with a blue background around the room\u2019s entrance.
