Reilly\u2019s renovation and redecoration of it will be revealed to the public on February 19, when the house is <a href=\"https:\/\/modernismweek.com\/2025\/home-tours\/seven-lakes-residence-ps-modcom-iconic\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">one of the destinations<\/a> for Palm Springs Modernism Week\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/modernismweek.com\/2025\/home-tours\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Iconic Home tours<\/a>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Palm Springs may be a magnet for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.1stdibs.com\/furniture\/style\/mid-century-modern\/\">mid-century modern<\/a> lovers year-round, but <a href=\"https:\/\/modernismweek.com\/\">Modernism Week<\/a> is undeniably the best time to explore the city\u2019s rich architectural landscape. Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, the 10-day festival starts on February 13. Visitors can tour many residences that are otherwise closed to the public, including interior designer Rick Reilly\u2019s Desert Moderne home, which <a href=\"https:\/\/www.1stdibs.com\/introspective-magazine\/rick-reilly-palm-springs\/\">was recently featured in <em>Introspective<\/em><\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.1stdibs.com\/designs\/arne-jacobsen-series-7-chair\/\">Arne Jacobsen\u2019s Series 7 chair<\/a> turns 70 this year. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.1stdibs.com\/creators\/arne-jacobsen\/furniture\/\">The Danish architect and designer<\/a> created the iconic stackable seating, constructed from a single piece of bent plywood, for manufacturer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.1stdibs.com\/creators\/fritz-hansen\/\">Fritz Hansen<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Twenty years ago, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.1stdibs.com\/creators\/christo-and-jeanne-claude\/\">Christo and Jeanne-Claude<\/a>&#8216;s monumental public <a href=\"https:\/\/www.1stdibs.com\/introspective-magazine\/christo-and-jeanne-claude-urban-projects\/\">art<\/a> installation <em>The Gates<\/em> opened in Central Park<em>. <\/em>Comprising 7,503 orange posts with nylon panels of the same bright hue, it covered park pathways from 59th to 110th Street. Now, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.townandcountrymag.com\/leisure\/arts-and-culture\/a63420767\/the-gates-central-park-return-christo-jeanne-claude\/\"><em>Town &amp; Country<\/em><\/a> reports, an augmented-reality experience on the Bloomberg Connects app will allow park visitors to experience a digital simulation of the piece.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Jennifer Pritzker has donated <a href=\"https:\/\/www.1stdibs.com\/creators\/frank-lloyd-wright\/furniture\/\">Frank Lloyd Wright\u2019s<\/a> Emil Bach House to Loyola University, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.architecturaldigest.com\/story\/billionaire-jennifer-pritzker-donates-frank-lloyd-wright-home-to-a-worthy-cause\">per <em>AD<\/em><\/a>.
