We\u2019re only a little more than a month into 2025, but it\u2019s already been a banner year for Kendrick Lamar. The musician dominated the Grammys, taking home five trophies on February 2. Just one week later, he became the first rapper to headline the Super Bowl halftime show. But throughout this month of milestones, Lamar has been sharing his spotlight with \u201970s style<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ahead of the Super Bowl, Lamar lounged on a De Sede Non Stop sofa<\/a> during a press conference<\/a> hosted by Apple Music. The iconic piece, also known as the DS-600 Snake because of its sinuous curves, was designed in 1972<\/a> by Ueli Berger, Eleanora Peduzzi-Riva and Heinz Ulrich.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the halftime performance, Lamar wore a pair of jeans that flared so dramatically they bordered on bell-bottom territory. Per the Guardian<\/em><\/a>, the pants are part of Celine\u2019s<\/a> womenswear Spring\/Summer 2024 collection. Lamar was joined on the stage by SZA in an outfit by ERL, whose designs display a \u201870s bent. The Venice Beach\u2013based label also crafted the pin belt<\/a> Lamar wore on the cover of his album GNX<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lamar and SZA aren’t the only ones embracing \u201970s aesthetics. Travis Kelce was seen sporting a burnt-orange Amiri suit<\/a> with wide lapels as he headed into the Caesars Superdome before the game. Moving from the gridiron to the runway, Nili Lotan<\/a> told WWD<\/a> her latest collection was inspired by the \u201crock \u2019n\u2019 roll \u201870s.\u201d Leaning into the decade’s aesthetics as well are several pieces in Valentino\u2019s Spring 2025 collection<\/a>, shown at Paris Couture Week, including a dress that reads like a very glamorous take on Laura Ashley<\/a>. In the furniture space, Pierre Paulin\u2019s 1970 Dune sofa<\/a> continues to collect high-profile admirers. Needless to say, you don\u2019t have to look very far to find echoes of the visually exuberant decade \u2014 Lamar is simply one of its most prominent proponents.<\/p>\n\n\n\t
