Actress Keke Palmer chose a vintage black strapless Chanel gown<\/a> for the SAG Awards this past weekend \u2014 and it wasn’t the first time this particular style had a high-profile outing. Back in 1986, fellow performer Jamie Lee Curtis wore the same formfitting velvet stunner for the first annual American Cinematheque Award ceremony, according to PageSix<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The gown, which features intricate gold beading on the bodice, debuted in Chanel\u2019s Autumn\/Winter 1985 ready-to-wear runway show, just a few years into Karl Lagerfeld<\/a>\u2019s tenure at the French fashion house<\/a>. Supermodel In\u00e8s de la Fressange wore it paired with wrist-length gloves. Nearly 40 years apart, Palmer and Curtis each paired the dress with opera gloves<\/a>, an accessory that\u2019s trending on the red carpet this year. Both stars kept their jewelry minimal, Curtis opting for large gold button earrings<\/a>, like those worn by Fressange, and Palmer for small diamond hoops<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\t
