Re-created in miniature in a new show at Svenskt Tenn<\/a>, the company’s Autumn Exhibition of 1934 introduced its customers to Josef Frank<\/a>‘s lively vision for decorating.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n

Adorable tiny furniture alert! At Svenskt Tenn<\/a>‘s Stockholm flagship, you can check out an exhibition, up through October 19, of nine miniature re-creations of iconic shows from the Swedish company\u2019s 101-year history. Highlights include a reconstruction of the Autumn Exhibition of 1934, which introduced the company’s collaboration with architect Josef Frank<\/a>, presenting the designer’s boisterous Liljevalchs sofa, among other pieces, and the 2023 exhibition “Frankly Yours,” created by India Mahdavi<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n

Head to any design fair or opening, and you\u2019re more than likely to see someone in one of Issey Miyake\u2019s Pleats Please<\/a> rippled, wrinkle-proof garments. According to Elle Decor<\/em><\/a>, Miyake\u2019s Bao Bao bag<\/a> is set for a similar ascendancy, propelled by the opening in New York City of the first-ever standalone Bao Bao Issey Miyake store outside Asia. \u201cIt’s essentially a piece of wearable art,\u201d designer Leah Ring, of interior design studio Another Human<\/a>, told Elle Decor<\/em><\/a>, describing the bag. \u201cI can be wearing jeans and a T-shirt, and the Bao Bao plus a nice piece of jewelry makes me feel put together and interesting.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n
