Cord necklaces<\/a> were a key accessory in the 1970s, and Elsa Peretti\u2019s<\/a> designs for Tiffany & Co.<\/a> were particularly sophisticated versions. In the \u201990s and early aughts, with boho chic in the ascendant, they reappeared, photographed around the necks of it girls like Sienna Miller and Kate Moss. With boho reemerging on the runways this year<\/a>, cord necklaces are making another comeback. As both The Cut<\/em><\/a> and Marie Claire<\/em><\/a> have reported, you can expect to see plenty more of them this fall and into next year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leather-cord necklaces<\/a> appeared on the runways for Ralph Lauren<\/a>\u2019s and Michael Kors<\/a>\u2019s Spring 2026 collections. They were paired with white and neutral-toned outfits, though Ralph Lauren\u2019s looks were a bit more polished, proving that you needn’t be ready for a full-on boho makeover to trot out your cord necklaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Coach<\/a>\u2019s Spring 2026 show featured both male and female models sporting cord necklaces with tiny kisslock pouches, worn with scarves, vests and and blazers layered over tees and dresses. Available in a variety of materials, including silk<\/a> and leather, they’re a fresh way to accessorize right now.<\/p>\n\n\n\t
