Rolex Submariner Hulk 116610LV, 2019<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

The Submariner collection<\/a>, all of whose variations have Oyster bracelets, lays claim to the second-most nicknames in the Rolex world. The Hulk<\/a>, officially called the Oyster Submariner Date, got its sobriquet because the green of its dial and Cerachrom bezel matches the hue of the Marvel comic superhero’s skin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The bulked-up Hulk is the alter ego of Dr. Bruce Banner who, because of exposure to gamma rays, transforms into a raging savage to battle villains. Produced from 2010 to 2020, the Hulk was the successor to the Kermit, a Submariner with a black dial and green aluminum bezel produced from 2003 to 2010. The Hulk and the Kermit, which both have reference numbers ending in LV, for lunette verte<\/em>, are rare because of their short production spans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
