21 Century Contemporary Carrara Marble Candleholder 1 AVAILABLE IN STOCK NOW!
By Ilaria Bianchi
Located in Milan, IT
21 Century Contemporary Marble Rovinette Candleholder Handmade in Italy by Ilaria Bianchi. Hand-turned candleholder in white Carrara marble produced by Italian artisans. This Rovinette candleholder is born from a reflection on historical landscapes. Architectures, archetypal shapes that allow the creation of a personal Capriccio vedutista. Rovinette candleholder establishes a visual imaginary that offers a brief escape from modernity. Looking up from work is the first step of a brief walk between ruins, an intimate space of solace and contemplation. Handmade in Italy in Carrara marble the Rovinette candleholder is elegant and reminds a fallen roman temple and is suitable for modern and classic interiors. These are objects that happily grow old: unafraid of the flow of time, they are an invitation to immerse oneself in it. Ilaria Bianchi is a multidisciplinary design studio based in Milan. She works for design studios, galleries, companies, and private clients. Ilaria started her own practice in 2015, after her degree in Industrial Design at the Polytechnic of Turin, and an MA in Ceramic, Furniture, and Jewelry Design at Central Saint Martins in London. The studio works are shown in galleries, cultural centers, and international fairs such as the Victoria & Albert Museum, Triennale di Milano, Building Gallery, Dimore Gallery...

Laurie Simmons Tourism: Chartres, 1985 Photography Nude
By Laurie Simmons
Located in Buffalo, NY
Tourism: Chartres, 1985 Chromogenic color print 18 × 12 in 45.7 × 30.5 cm Edition of 16/25 Laurie Simmons has an ambitious exhibition currently on tour. "Big Camera/Little Camera," a survey of some two hundred photographs, two films, and a selection of three-dimensional pieces, including props used in some of her staged tableaux. This exhibition opened at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, Texas, from October 14, 2018 to January 27, 2019 and is now at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago until May 5, 2019. (A print of "Tourism: Chartres" is represented in the show. Laurie Simmons’ engagement with non-human subjects ranges from her earlier works, in which she photographed miniature scenes of post-war domestic splendor, to her more recent use of life-size sex dolls that appear to be engaged in surprisingly believable activities. Endowing dolls, puppets, and ventriloquist dummies...
