A very fine 19th century Italian gilt bronze and white marble bust by Affortunato Gory. On a Verde Antico marble base. France, circa 1890 Signed A. Gory/Paris.  

Pair of Art Deco lady sconces in the style of Affortunato Gori. Sconces depict prancing females Flappers draped in Greek attire (each with distinct flowing short dresses) and are finished in antique silver, and rest on custom-made centered on green acid-etched glass. These sconces feature decorative Art Deco end caps cast in bronze and finished in antique silver. Each end caps is decorated with a five bonze applique finished in 24-karat gold doré. Lighting is provided by custom manufactured LED warm-white light bars at the top and bottom of the fixture. Improvements to the original lighting concept are implemented via custom hand-fabricated reflectors. Which provide focused lighting and glass stabilization. All castings made via a lost wax method. Lost wax bronze casting ensures: Sharp details, ensures the product will last a lifetime, mimics original artist methods and leaves product with fewer surface blemishes inherit in inferior casting metals such as aluminum, spelter (Die-Cast) and low-quality brass mixtures.
