Blanco Blue - Minimalist Geometric Three-Dimensional Blue Wall Sculpture
By Billy Criswell
Located in Los Angeles, CA
Utilizing geometric abstraction, Billy Criswell creates asymmetrical compositions that explore light, color, perspective and space. His modern sculptures evoke a sense of imploding/exploding and motion/counter-motion, challenging viewer perception. Reminiscent of the abstracted forms of Cubism, combined with Louise Nevelson’s monumental wooden assemblages, the intimate scale of Criswell’s abstract one-of-a-kind sculptures reflects a profound response to 20th century modernism. Visual elements of celestial bodies, aerodynamics, architecture and nature challenge viewers to develop their own perceptions of the work. This 22 inch high by 24 inch wide blue wooden sculpture is ready to be displayed. Free local Los Angeles delivery. Affordable Continental U.S. and worldwide shipping available. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included. Based in Southern California, Criswell’s works have been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in museums and galleries throughout the United States, including the Nahcotta Gallery in Portsmouth, New Hampshire and the Pierce-Dunham Gallery in Houston, Texas. In addition, his work is part of many public and corporate collections, including the Chicago Arts Council in Chicago; Pfizer Corporate Headquarters in New York, NY; the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Tokyo, Japan; and Disney Studios in Los Angeles, CA. Criswell is also a recipient of the 2011 United States Artists Foundation Project Grant, as well as a Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grantee in 2010. There is a Block in the Void 1261
By Len Klikunas
Located in Los Angeles, CA
Artist Len Klikunas creates meditative minimalist sculptural artworks that modify experienced reality through visual perception. His art is a mix of art and architecture, hovering between painting and sculpture, energy and matter. It employs shizen (自然): the Japanese concept of naturalness, absence of pretense, or artificiality. Material is stretched over a supporting three-dimensional framework, like a tent, and coated with paint allowing shadows and reflections to fill the spaces in between. This sculptural three-dimensional 18-inches square and 5-inch deep post-minimalist artwork is wired and ready to hang. It is created with mixed media on canvas, stretched over a three-dimensional wooden form. The artist finishes the sides of this artwork as a continuation of the front and signs and titles the artwork on the back. Convenient local Los Angeles area delivery. Affordable worldwide shipping for US and international art collectors. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included. Klikunas focuses on the larger idea behind his original abstract minimalist artworks. The work is characterized by “mindful artlessness” and simplicity. The natural-like radiation that comes from the structure of the materials and color schemes expresses calmness. With a fusion of art and architecture, Klikunas presents compositions focused on abstract reliefs based on regularity and geometry that defy conventional perceptions. Through strategic placement and a rich color palette that also includes monochrome paintings, he creates three-dimensional structures that engage viewers in a captivating visual experience. Len Klikunas' sculptural minimalist works are represented by Artspace Warehouse Los Angeles. They have been included in numerous exhibitions at galleries and art fairs as well as private and public collections throughout the world. Towards the sky (walnut wood bird abstract art zen sculpture pedestal minimal)
By Eric Tardif
Located in Quebec, Quebec
This steam-bent wooden sculpture is made of black walnut with a red sandstone base. The wood grain and the color are uniqueness of this sculpture. The wood has magnificent stripe patterns of paler and darker colors. The title, Toward the Sky, could have different meanings to humans during this hard period. One of them is to stay positive and keep hope. In some cultures, a heron symbolizes contemplation, vigilance, divine wisdom, and inner quietness. As a Chinese symbol, a heron represents strength, purity, patience and long life. In Africa, herons were thought to communicate with the Gods. The elegance and purity of the lines are reminiscent of Native American art from Western Canada. The elegance and purity of the lines are reminiscent of Native American art from Western Canada including that of Benjamin Chee...
