Artist: Lependorf and Shire
Horizon Fields 5 (Minimal Landscape Photo of Blue Skies and Golden Wheat Field)
By Lependorf and Shire
Located in Hudson, NY
30 x 30 inches
Limited Edition Archival Pigment Prints
edition of 25
This image is part of a series of abstracted landscape and ocean views by the Philadelphia based artists called 'Horizon Fields'. This square format image is an abstracted view of clear blue skies and golden wheat fields.
About the work:
The foundation for our work is the photographic image with the optimal quality of light. Selecting the interplay of composition, form, rhythm, and line is the focus for our imagery. Integrating these elements in the computer is the next stage in the process of merging our visual and intuitive sensibilities toward a completed vision.
Different perceptual effects arise from recording the world in photographs as opposed to interpreting it in paint: Our goal is not to emulate painting.
Conceptual work in all mediums has blurred the line between photographers who make art and artists who use photography.
The digital medium has established itself in the natural continuum of art history and the ongoing relationship of art with technology. This work forces us to consider a more serene world while reminding us that no contemporary experience is unmediated; technology touches everything. The use of the computer as a tool does not create; it assists creativity resulting in a synthesis of disciplines to be realized as a limited edition.
The combination of archival pigment inks on Crane Fine Art paper framed with archival mattes and backboards insures permanence in excess of 175 years.
The creative process will always remain in the mind and the soul of the artist.

Limited Edition Archival pigment print

This elegant archival pigment print was created by Shelly Lependorf and Stan Shire as part of their Glyph series. The somewhat abstract nature of the photograph's subject makes it difficult to identify at first, but upon closer inspection, it depicts a highly reflective pond surface with thin, curved branches sticking out of it, is implicit of symbols or handwriting, thus the title.

How the Rich do Street Art - Naples Arch
By Robert Funk
Located in Miami, FL
Robert Funk’s photographs of elaborate landscaping redefine what Street Art is.
Street Art from the rich is to be found on every corner in Naples. It's a city with perhaps more flowers than weeds. Hedge Fun is a series that celebrates the landscaping commissioned by well-heeled homeowners, high-end condos and ritzy commercial establishments. Shrubs, bushes, and trees are transformed from organic shapes into man-made graphics. They become stripped of surrounding detail to the point that they become abstract in their impact. On any given day in South Florida, there is an army of landscaping trucks with gardeners and groundsmen working meticulously to beautify the street scape...

'Towards your Heart' Large scale Photo. Triptych Ocean, Sea, Blue, Beach Cottage

'Towards Your Heart'
Limited edition archival photographic triptych. Unframed, hand signed and numbered (Edition number 3 of 25)

It is not the size
Nor power from which you fly
But towards your heart
The wild Atlantic explodes in raw abandon, given scale in this daring dance by the graceful flight of the sea bird.
Sophia's poetic photographs are an exploration of the balance in all things: in the sensual interplay of light and shadow; in wild raw energy and serene stillness; in chaos and harmony; in the enduring and the effervescent. They are a contemplation of the awareness that everything in existence is temporary, they speak of the ephemeral nature of all things. Moments, feelings, experiences cherished and appreciated in their impermanence, for that is where the beauty comes from. 'I work in a balancing act of control and freedom; of discipline and guidance, whilst simultaneously relinquishing all authority and throwing the odds to the winds, to chance encounters and the unexpected'.
Photographic triptych: each of three parts measuring 30 x 20 inches.
Each printing is bespoke to order and can be printed on a single paper 30 x 60 inches. Please contact me for further information, or send a message with your order.

By Viet Chu

New York City based wildlife and street photographer Viet Chu, captured this beautiful landscape shot of a Giraffe, peeking around the green trees in Sayari Camp, Serengeti, Asilia Africa. Chu’s focus is to inspire us with the beauty and vitality of the tallest living terrestrial animal and the largest ruminant in the world and to give us a glimpse of everyday life in the wild, to inspire us with the strength, grace and necessary protection of wildlife.
Viet Chu is a world traveler for photographic assignments. He finds beauty in life’s special moments in time, capturing each with his unique photographic style.
