A wonderful addition to any summer wardrobe, this SS1979 runway Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche color block two-pieces can be worn both together and separately. Composed of a vibrant purple dress and a mauve overskirt, both pieces are cut from lightweight silk-chiffon and finished with silk satin edges (used as well for the straps of the dress). The dress closes on the left side with a simple button while the overskirt is tied thanks to the satin silk ribbon. Unlined, this ensemble is accordion-pleated to create a flowy movement when you walk and turn. To emphasize the Greco-Roman inspiration, wear it with minimal sandals !
