"Dance Of Life" - Wall Hanging Tapestry by Amy Zerner

1998

About the Item

This whimsical, horizontal embellished tapestry measures 40 inches tall and 52 inches wide. It is a collage of hand painted and dyed fabrics, vintage textiles, trimmings, and antique bead embellishments. This textural tapestry comes with two wooden dowel rods to install and hang. It is hand signed by the artist and dated on the back. "Innocence is directly connected to pure truth. Innocence is not naive, far from it, but the word can be misunderstood by those who have forgotten their own innocence." My fabric collage tapestries portray the scientifically proven and usually invisible forces of the energy field of innocence that connects not just all humans, but all beings to the overwhelming power of Nature and the natural world. My work portrays the surreal reality of the imaginal world of our mind’s eye and its ability to connect us through our Higher Self to the Quantum Field, called by the ancient metaphysicians the Akashic Record, the totality of everything that ever was, is, and will be.

  • "Plato's Atlantis" - Hyperrealist Luxury Shoe Painting by Georgina Clapham
    Located in West Hollywood, CA
This vertical 21.5 inch high by 13.5 inch wide original oil painting on linen is wired and ready to hang. The hyperrealistic detail in the is artwork is astounding. The main focus of the chic hyperrealist stiletto anchors the image amongst a calming, cool-toned lake setting. The sides of the artwork are not painted and it does not require framing. It is signed and titled by the artist on the back of the artwork British painter Georgina Clapham conspicuously engages with story telling and theatricality, drawing together Renaissance portraiture, Greek Mythology, folklore, mysticism, animals, nature, the artificial, high fashion, subculture, gender, identity and sexuality, in her meticulous life size figurative paintings. Through the traditional media of oil paint on linen and intaglio printmaking, she creates her own contemporary mythologies. Staging her paintings using people in her everyday life, she infuses these timeless narratives with the intimacy and tangibility of her friendships and personal relationships drawing out their psychology and sexuality; as such, the works become as much a depiction of her own imagined narrative as of the individuals’ personality. She has previously attended City and Guilds of London Art School, 2013 and The Glasgow School of Art, 2014-16, where her work was purchased into the archive. In 2015 she was awarded The Richard Ford...

Debra Smith's fabric collages are like snippets of contemporary quilts. She recycles fabrics, such as the silk linings of antique Japanese kimonos used to make much of her current body of work. The silks are different shades of neutral and lend a quiet, contemplative mood to much of Debra's work. In some collages, Debra uses vibrant vintage fabric to contrast with the understated feel of the silk. Since 1999, Debra's work has been shown in numerous exhibition spaces, such as Dolphin Gallery and Pearl Gallery in Kansas City and the Pencil Factory in Brooklyn, New York. In addition to making artwork, Debra owns Sakiori, a textile company based in Kansas City, which she established in 1993. She formerly worked for Asiatica, an internationally recognized clothing and accessory business, which specializes in the reconstruction of antique kimono...
