The moods and whims of nature influence the work of Sarah Van Beckum. Drawing from nature’s forms ingrained from the countryside of her youth, painting has become her search for meaning. Images imprint themselves on our consciousness as we see them, but time fades those images from explicit memory. What remains is buried deep within and evokes emotion upon recall. Van Beckum's paintings are reflections of that emotional memory.
