    By Peter Lupkin

In this intimate portrait, TJ is painted with soft loose brush strokes which contrast with his two black eyes. The painting is framed with a simple black floater frame measuring 17h x 13w inches. • Freedom - Original Oil Painting Showing Many Different Expressions of Womanhood
    By Bruno Surdo
    Located in Chicago, IL
"Bruno Surdo is a throwback to the spiritual achievements of the artists from the flamboyant tradition of figure painting." -Ed Paschke "I continually seek to create expressive monolithic works that explore the human condition. This can be seen with some of my recent works that examine the human psyche, with an awareness to the Freudian and Jungian archetypes and transcendent barriers of human sexuality, while expressing my paradigm of civil and personal freedoms for independence." -Bruno Surdo Bruno A. • “Gaïa, the Mother Earth”, Blue & Green Map Hyper-realist Symbolist Oil Painting
    By Andrée Bars
    Located in Clermont-Ferrand, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes
This hyper-realist oil painting by Andrée Bars tells the terrible story of our thirsty mother earth. In Greek mythology, Gaïa is a primordial goddess identified as the "Mother Goddess". A maternal ancestor of the divine races, she also gave birth to many creatures. Chtonian deity, people invoked and sacrificed light-colored animals to her. This goddess, sitting on her cloud, has a distraught and questioning look. She reaches out to the little hummingbirds who come to get water to save the planet. She doesn't even have any more water to offer them! A legend attributes to hummingbirds the will to participate, with their desperately weak forces, in putting out a forest fire by taking a drop of water in their beak. It is often made the symbol of small individual acts protecting our earth. In this painting, light colors are voluntarily chosen to correspond to the animals that were sacrificed for Gaïa. Lots of blue, the shade symbol of water, which we will miss so much. These light shades accentuate the contrast between the apparent calm and the desperate situation of our planet. Andrée Bars is a French painter. Having been strictly trained for 4 years by the American hyper-realist painter Mr. Ted Seth Jacobs, who himself inherited 19th century masters’ skills from his own professor, Andrée Bars learned the profession of painting in its purest tradition. She still applies these ancient masters’ technics on her art. Each painting contains at least three layers of oil paint. Andrée Bars applies her skills to hyperrealism on surrealist ideas. Although her paintings copy...
