He began painting as self-taugh at the age of 13. He mainly works Oil and acrylic; paying tribute to legends of Art History and drawing his inspiration from social and cultural memorable events of the 20th century. Sgarra is also a talented sculptor with a partiality for monumental art. Having an influence over Pop Art et du Street Art, he increases, varies and mixes frames and technics : collages, compressions, irons, photographies, mannequins, salvages… His work is recognize in the whole word and belongs to many international collectors (Louis Prima, François Mitterrand, Zinedine Zidane, Anatoly Karpov …)
