For many years, Christophe Jacrot's artistic project has been focused on his pursuit of bad weather conditions. The large urban areas have become his favorite areas to shoot in (NYC, Chicago, Tokyo, Hong Kong.)
More recently, the artist has been looking for natural landscapes. In the series "Snjór" (snow in Islandic), the artist magnifies the nature's power and shoots landscapes buried under a deep snow in which the isolated habitations are hardly outlined. As a mirage, these ghostly presences bring a dreamy dimension to Christophe Jacrot's photographs. His photographs are reflecting a sense of composition inherited from his cinematographic background.
