This exceptional antique George V sterling silver wine bottle coaster has a plain cylindrical form with a flared rim and domed spreading base. The lower portion of the body is encompassed with embossed concave fluted batwing decoration. The body is fitted with two sterling silver handles, ornamented with a collar design to the centre of each handpiece. The underside of this impressive wine bottle coaster bears the retailer's mark 'Walker & Hall, Sheffield, England'. This impressive bottle coaster is a tall example for its type. These exceptional George III sterling silver wine labels have a rectangular shaped form. Each bottle label is embellished with exceptional gadroon ornamentation to the rim, incorporating four scrolling leaf designs.
