Emil Alzamora Art
American, Peruvian, b. 1975
Emil Alzamora is a Peruvian contemporary artist and sculptor, born in 1975, in Lima, Peru and raised in Boca Grande, Florida. He attended Florida State University, where he graduated magna-cum-laude, in 1998, earning a bachelor’s degree in fine arts. He started his sculpting career in the Hudson Valley of New York, working with Polich Tallix, in the fall of 1998. Since he departed from the art foundry, in early 2001, he has produced his work full-time and shown regularly throughout the United States and Europe. Alzamora currently lives and works in Beacon, New York. His work is exhibited in major collections, museums and public spaces throughout the world.
