Lucia Tarditi Wall Decorations
Lucia Tarditi was a painter interested in both landscape and genre scenes, finding congenial application in portraiture with which she acquired notable and rapid notoriety. She was born in Turin on October 23rd, 1893. Tarditi was one of the first women to attend regular studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome with other young artists, including Boccioni and Severini. She attended the studio of Giacomo Balla deriving from the teacher a particular sensitivity to color and perfecting the ability to treat it with strong and safe brush strokes. In 2010, on the occasion of the exhibition “Piccole donne al Quirinale” inaugurated on March 8th, a great tribute was given to Tarditi with the exhibition of her work Marga of 1917.
