19thC Japanese Cloisonné Brush Washer Bowl, Meiji Period circa 1880

About the Item

This is an unusual cloisonné Brush Washer bowl, made in Japan and dating to the 19th Meiji Period, circa 1890. The circular bowl sits on a low foot The main decoration has stylised Dragon figures on a sand coloured ground, with a key border pattern. There are no markings to the base. There is a possibility that this bowl could be Chinese.
