Vintage Burmese Polychrome Carved Wooden Statue of a Warrior on his Horse

A vintage Burmese polychrome wooden statue from the mid-20th century, depicting a warrior on a horse. Born in Burma during the mid-century period, this striking carved wooden statue features a warrior sitting proudly on his brown horse. The warrior's golden face contrasts beautifully with the black color of his traditional uniform, while the reddish brown hue of the horse on pedestal provides a perfect conclusion to the ensemble. The great attention to details visible in the warrior's attire and saddle makes for a highly decorative object. With its lovely polychromed patina and nice proportions, this Burmese carved wooden sculpture, circa 1950 will be a great focal point in any room, as well as a conversation starter.
