Swedish Screen, 18th Century

About the Item

Quite possibly one of the most delightful and unique decorative items we've seen. This wood screen was used to shade light coming into the window from the inside. It has an exquisite shape and feet that makes it so versatile. Hanging on a wall, sitting on the back of a chest as a backdrop for a lovely tablescape or, as intended, on a window sill to filter the light. Mirror can be mounted to the back of the frame to create an interesting accent in a room. The original screen is still intact and has a pale grey patina while the wood is a naturally distressed cream and grey.
