French Crystal Glass Fruit Bowl or Centerpiece by Art Vannes France, 1960s

About the Item

Adorable translucent hand-blown crystal glass fruit bowl or centerpiece by Art de Vannes France, 1960s. On the bottom marked with an etched factory mark Art Vannes France. Dimensions: height: circa 22 cm / 8.66 in; width: circa 19 cm / 7.48 in; length: 45 cm / 17.71 in. Verrerie - cristallerie de Vannes le Châtel was founded in the Mid-18th Century, but in the second half of the 20th Century, the company merged with the glassworks of Vallérysthal and Portieux, and in 1970 with Bayel and Fains (this grouping of crystal works were produced under the name of the Compagnie Française du Cristal, CFC, until 1981), then the Vannes glassworks integrated the Daum crystal factory under the name CFC Daum. The production of Vannes-le-Châtel is marketed today under the direction and brand of the Daum crystal factory, to which it was merged in the 1970s. /vessiere-cristaux/.
