Laura Andreson Signed Monumental Glazed Mid-Century Modern Ceramic Pottery Bowl
Located in Studio City, CA
A wonderfully crafted and beautifully glazed (in Fall greens and browns) large bowl by renowned American potter Laura Andreson. Gorgeous in its Mid-Century Modern design and shifting colors.
Signed on the base by Andreson.
A quite special and rare work. Certainly, one of the best pieces of Andreson's work we have had the pleasure to come across. Highly collectible. Would be a great addition to any midcentury ceramics collection or a very eye-catching stand-alone work in about any setting.

Pair of cascabel bowl by Onora

This collection reinterprets one of the oldest structural techniques in pottery, coiling, the vessels made with this technique are made from coils of clay positioned in consecutive rings, placed on top of one another. Lívia Gorka Hungarian Ceramist Mid-Century Modern Hand Thrown Wall Plate, 1960s
By Livia Gorka
Located in Miami, FL
Mid-Century Modern Decorative Plate by Hungarian artist Gorka Livia (1925-2011). This plate like all of her ceramics is hand thrown and has a freeform feel due the uneven shape of the vessel which is almost oblong. The color is mustard yellow decorated with two large stylized fish in black. Pisces? In the image of the back, it looks like dirty spots but is actually where the glaze was thinly applied and the clay color shows through. It was made to hang and a wire loop was incorporated unto the back. The plate dates from the 1960s.
Incised on back - GL HUNGARY Underglaze a1/F or Gl/F on back
Livia trained in her father's atelier, Gèza Gorka...
