About the Item
A beautiful colorful decorative box with lid created from Carrara marble and inlaid with a variety of semi-precious stones. The sides are inlaid with a variety of stones in abstract colors in a fun vertical stripe pattern. The top is inlaid with hexagonal stones in a variety of semi-precious stones in turquoise, black, pink, lime green, and brown marble.
The box is low in profile and rectangular in form. This lovely jewelry or trinket box features a lid that fits onto its base. Both of which are completely covered in inlaid stones.
The interior of the box's base and lid, are created using Carrara marble. The lid features stays, which retrofit into the base, and allow the top to hold to the base without sliding or moving.
Joints are in wonderful condition, and all sides are smooth and shiny.
How We Would Style It:
This pretty box should be the shining star in a room, and placed somewhere it will be seen. Nothing above eye level. Ideally something just below eye level. (Think a coffee table in a living room, a dresser or vanity table, or a foyer table.)
Personally, we would love to see this gem on a coffee table. Alone, with plenty of space around it, perhaps on a stack of well-loved books or magazines, it’s the perfect conversation piece. And a guaranteed way to create contrast in an area.
It can be used to store items that clutter a space such as small unmentionables that one would not want out for display when guests or children are around. This would also make a nice gift.
