Japanese Contemporary Blue Red Platinum Porcelain Box by Master Artist Duo

About the Item

Outstanding Japanese contemporary museum quality highly detailed, extremely intricately hand painted porcelain box, in blue, red with intricate platinum details. The vase is the joint creation of two brothers working in tandem in the Imari-Arita region of southern Japan. Both these highly acclaimed master artists have received prestigous awards fortheir unique extremely detailed work.Their profiles are available upon request The two brothers, both master artists in their own right, who worked together to create this vase follow a strict division of labor. The older brother is responsible for depicting the inside of the box including the remarkable signature phoenix, while the younger brother works exclusively on creating the artist's signature intricate geometric pattern that graces the outside surface of this exquisite box. The signatures of both brothers appear on the reverse. The inside of this striking porcelain box depicts a extraordinarily detaild phoenix in blue underglaze dramatically spreading its wings , set against an extremely intricate pattern in platinum and red. The outer surface of the box showcases a mesmerizing geometric pattern in blue underglaze that grows progressively smaller as it approaches the center, ultimately fading into infinitesimal dimensions that beckon the viewer to a haunting vision of infinite space. The pattern sets against a highly detailed platinum background. This magnificent box comes in a custom made wooden case signed by both artists. Dimensions: H 7 in D 4.5 in

This style is thought to reflect the spirit of the Genroku era, which was economically abundant. It is highly decorative and many kinrande works, such as large lidded vases...
