Craftsman's Handmade Jewelry Cabinet
About the Item
A wonderful handmade craftsman's jewelry cabinet. Beautifully constructed out of mahogany and a secondary wood I can't identify. It has drawers lined in felt and two swing out drawers and a front drawer. The top lifts up and can be fitted upside down, as the interior contains a mirror. Quite a unique project. There are numerous little flaws as this is quite a complicated piece. There is a repair to the hinge area of the left drawer and some nicks, the worst of which are pictured. There is also a repair to the lidded top, please see the pictures. The top finial is slightly askew. The top has been hand-turned so it only fits in one way even though it's round.
