Italian Silver Gilt wood and Iron Candelabra

About the Item

This is a nice example of pricket candle lighting. The form is somewhat unusual and the scale is nice for a dramatic statement. The urn is covered in gesso the cut back and incised with arabesques designs the upper section is made of silver gilt iron with wooden ball decoration and wooded bobeches. At some point the whole was drilled to accept a rod and wiring for a lamp but is now delamped and presented as it was intended but it can be easily converted to a lamp again
