Lenzkirch Bracket Clock in French Louis XVI Style, 19th Century
About the Item
German Lenzkirch mahogany and carved ormolu cased mantel clock. The clock has wonderful carved scrolling feet supporting a rolled ridged stepped base decorated with leaf carved ormolu mounts. Running up the sides of the clock flanking the dial are carved ormolu busts. Underneath the dial which features roman numerals on enamel, there is a large clear glass panel so you can view the swinging star burst pendulum. The domed top of this clock supports carved bronze mounts and three turned finials with a larger model to the center.
