19th century Sevres biscuit group of three frolicking puttos France, Date Lettered 1884 A splendid example of 19th century Sevres biscuit porcelain in the 18th century style of Louis XVI, made in 1884. This intricate modeled grouping shows influences of the renowned French sculptor of the Rococo style, Claude Michel Clodion (1738-1814). this work depicts a standing draped putto blowing a conch shell, with two intertwined puttos beneath. Marked with incised intertwined 'L' mark with 84 /13 Raised on a associated carved circular wood pedestal. Overall measurements: The Sevres Grouping Alone measures 8-Inches high x 6-Inches wide x 5-Inches deep (%-inch diameter base) The associated carved wood pedestal base has a 6-Inches diameter x 2.75-Inches high.
