Antique Patinated Bronze Sculpture of Diana by Ferdinand Barbedienne French, late 19th Century Dimensions: Height 60cm, width 22cm, depth 22cm This patinated bronze figure depicts the Roman goddess Diana (or Artemis in Ancient Greek religion). She is depicted standing with her right arm raised, wearing a short dress draped to reveal one breast, and with her identifiable helmet at her feet. The sculpture was crafted by Ferdinand Barbedienne, a famed bronze craftsman of Belle Epoque Paris. On the base there is a signature 'F. Barbedienne. Fondeur', and the reduction stamp for Collas.
