German 19th Century Biscuit Porcelain Signed Sculpture

About the Item

A wonderful German 19th century Biscuit porcelain, signed sculpture. The statue depicts a nymph, considered to be the retinue of the god Pan, dancing for him with his flute at her feet. Pan the god of the wild, nature and companion of the nymphs, was a significant figure in the European Romantic movement of the 18th and 19th century.
