Charles Daidone marble sculpture pivots on steel rod attached to square laminate base. Dated 1976. This sculpture by the artist received awards at various art exhibitions.
Sculptor Charles Daidone (1921-2009) spent most of his life working on aerospace projects, including the Space Shuttle for Kearfort- Singer. He worked there for 35 years, receiving many commendations for his work, including the Space Shuttle.
Mr. Daidone was also a self taught artist. He was a member of the National Sculpture Society, Salmagundi Club, Knickerbocker Artists, Audubon Artists and New York Artists Equity Association. He was a multiple award winner for his sculpture.
