Royal Porcelain or State’s Porcelain Manufactory 'KPM' Cherub’s Sculpture

About the Item

This rare porcelain group sculpture depicts a pair of winged warriors cherub figurines. They are without their helmet, armor, and swords. One is in a victorious posture and the other one is thoughtful and down in one knee holding his helmet. The figurines are supported by an oval base adorned with gilt blue and pink shells. The KPM porcelain is hallmarked by a blue crossed swords and a star.

    Repaired: See below. Wear consistent with age and use. The warrior cherub dressed with the turquoise robe has the the wings glued and his fingers were restored. The other cherub has a fine fissure in the yellow robe.
